Naked 2!

Gosh. Am I the last one to blog about this? Probably. Well better late than never! So my birthday was last week (happy birthday to me!) and this was one of my gifts from my parents (thank you if your reading this!♥). I didn't know whether I wanted to use it right away or save it and keep it as eye candy. But I started playing around with it and fell in an even deeper love.

The shadows are crisp and the duo ended brush is soft as a feather. There's a protective plastic over the mirror and palette to ensure the product is delivered in amazing condition.

I know these swatches are backwards from the palette. Oh well! These colors are so pigmented and soft and amazing! I absolutely love them all!

From left to right: Snakebite, Tease, Chopper, Bootycall, Half Baked, Foxy

From left to right: Blackout, Busted, YDK, Verve, Pistol, Suspect, Snakebite

So, if you haven't picked up the Naked 2 palette, put it at the top of your holiday wishlist. It is so worth the money and should be in anybody's makeup collection.

Striped Sweaters♥

"The best time to wear a striped sweater is...ANYTIME!," Spongebob Squarepants. Who knew he would be a major fashion icon?! Well he officially is. A HUGE trend this fall (and every fall) is sweaters. But this year, not just any sweater will do! Striped sweaters are the "it" thing.

Style idea: Skinny jeans, black boots, peter pan color necklace, high sock bun

Style idea: Black skinnies, tan BearPaws or black combat boots, curled hair, long statement necklace

Style idea: white skinnies (White after Labor Day?! Yup!), black boots, light white scarf, straight hair

Old School Trend, Present Day Fad

Moccasins: the old fashioned grandfather shoe that has made a major u-turn and is now  the trending footwear of the fall. Every girl has asked, "Mom! What shoes should I wear with this skirt?!" Unless, you know, you have a pair of these virtually universal shoes. From skinny jeans, to a floral skirt, moccasins have practically taken over the fashion industry and are a go to fall essential, even in the coldest weather.

Still not loving the trend? Well try this! Until I actually took a good look at her from the side, I thought she just had a pretty fantastic fashion sense. Then I saw it. And like bam! I was in love. This modern twist on the old school moccasins made me realize why girls have such an "unhealthy addiction"  (or as I like to say "a perfectly normal hobby") of collecting shoes. I mean, who wouldn't obsess over such an exquisite pair of wedge moccasins?! That's what I thought.

New Name

Hey guys! Totally Chic will be changing it's name and url soon! So if you have any ideas as to what we should name it, leave a comment below! Thanks♥

Must Have Fall Transition Items

With fall right around the corner, we can use as much help as we can get as far as beauty must haves. Here are a few that we say you need! The first is Bath and Body Works' Warm Vanilla Sugar. It smells exactly like what it sounds like. And as we all know, guys are attracted to the smell of vanilla! *wink wink*;)
Some must have colors (front to back):
Spoiled in Paying with Platinum
Icing matte in Bet Me
Color Club in Platinum Record
Sinful Colors in Dancing Nails
Ulta Brand in Pink Leather
♥ Dark Kiss by Bath and Body Works♥ Enough said. It's almost like a sophisticated Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift. Vanilla undertone with a warm sugar scent that leaves you smelling like love and happiness♥
I actually tried this tinted moisturizer yesterday and it is amazing! Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer. It is light, oil free, and has great coverage! Did I mention that it's SPF 20?
Warning! There will be three blushes in this post!!(:
This one is the Wet-N-Wild Pearlescent Pink that leaves your cheeks glowing...even in the coolest days of fall.
Ah Babylips! You know how much I love them! Chapped lips are part of winter but fight back with these amazing, tinted lip balms!
In the market for a good concealer to hide those pesky blemishes? Well here it is! Hard Candy Glamoflauge heavy duty concealer can be found at Walmart for a reasonable price.
We all know that the Revlon Photoready line performs up to its name. So this cream blush obviously stands above the rest.
This is my all time favorite blush! Revlon Beyond Natural blush and bronzer is light on your skin and gives a healthy looking, natural glow.

When trying to achieve the perfect late night smokey eye, the eyeliner can make or break the look. However this Revlon Luxurious Color in Sueded Brown is equipped with a duo ended pencil and smudge sponge that will make your look the life of the party.
The 24 Infallible line by L'oreal has produced some unique colors. But Iced Latte is the perfect choice for highlighting the inner corners of your eye.

This is currently my favorite perfume! It's nothing new and you have probably all heard of, if not used it, but it is the perfect scent to transition into fall. This is Britney Spears' Fantasy that leaves an aroma of freshly picked flowers and sugar.
That's it for our Must Have Fall Transition Items. What's with the bug Ashley? It followed us everywhere we went when we were taking these pictures! Just thought I'd share it with you;)

Brandy Melville Haul

Oh ♥Brandy♥. I love you so much! I was stoked when I found out there was a BM by my hotel in Santa Monica! I mean  shipping if you order online is $11. No thank you! So obviously I wanted to get a few things. I walked in like "omg! I'm here!" There was one ring in particular that I wanted but obviously they didn't have it. I have great luck. -_- So here's what I picked up. This first ring was $5 and is more of a statement piece.
I've been wanting a turquoise ring forever and this one is super light and gorgeous! I literally wear it everyday now! Online it's $6. In store it said it was $5. But the cashier gave it to me for $3. ?? Oh well! Who doesn't like a deal!?

If you follow Brandy on instagram, you obviously have seen this ring more than enough times. All I'm going to say is it's small, simple, and uh-mazing! (Btw, it was only three flippen bucks)
This sweatshirt is not my style AT ALL! And was ridiculously priced! But hey there...its BRANDY MELVILLE! So ya, I obviously got it. They have it in tons of colors but since it's getting to be fall, I just went with this color.
Yes! I know those pics were terrible. So here's the sweatshirt off their website (that's why it's blurry). Its called the Courtney Sweater so you can go check it out!

The best part of Brandy is the one size fits all! No more "does it run small?! But what if it's made for a different body type! Oh my!" So now, I will definitely be ordering off their website. If you haven't been on it, here's the link:  http://brandymelvilleusa.com/

Leave a comment below and tell me what your favorite clothing store is!

P.s. This was what, my third post in a row? Yay! I'm so on top of it now!(:

DIY Necklace Holder

♥Isn't this adorable!? Simple, DIY necklace holder that I love! Wanna know how to do it? Just keep reading!
What you need:
  • Canvas (I got my 14x18 inch canvas at Michaels for $7.99)
  • Pretty scrapbook paper
  • Black Paint or a giant sharpie
  • Clear thumb tacks/push pins (whatever you call them!)
  • Buttons that go with the colors you are using.
  • Mod Podge
  • Hot Glue and hot glue gun
  •  First, using mod podge, glue pretty scrapbook (I used antiqued music notes) paper all over a canvas.
  • Once that dries, cover the entire thing with another coat of the modpodge. Wait for it to completely dry!
  • Next, using paint or a giant sharpie like I did, draw a tree on  the front of the canvas. Wait for that to dry.
  •  For the thumb tacks/push pins, Glue buttons on the end. The ones I would put in the tree got black buttons while all the others had a frosted beige color.
  • Space the tacks out far and high enough for your necklaces to hang without overlapping or becoming a tangled mess.
  •  Be sure to reinforce the tacks by hot gluing the backside of them like I did.
Hope yours turned out good! I love mine and use it everyday! Thanks! Love ya♥

September Favorites

♥Hey guys! I think you know what time it is! SEPTEMBER FAVORITES!! So this time, I only have like 5 items to show you. Sad. But that's okay because I have tons more posts coming your way! So let us get started.

The first item or I guess itemssss would be my EOS collection! (comment below and tell me how you pronounce that. E-O-S or eos) I love these babies! The only downside is that they are hard to put in your pocket :/. Anyhoo, I have way too many but use them all! (Front to back: Strawberry Sorbet, Watermelon Wonderland, Sweet Vanilla Nonsense, Summer Fruit, Blueberry Potion, and Lemon Drop)

Next I have my Babylips! I've had Peach Kiss forever but never loved it too much because it was a weird color with my skin tone. So last night I decided I would give two more a shot. And I LOVE them! They are so cute and the slight color they give to your lips is gorgeous. They remind me of those high end Sugar ones (the Sephora B-day gift this year). Left to right: Peach Kiss, Cherry Me, and Pink Punch.

I have been OBSESSED with Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck. If you haven't tried it yet, then you haven't smelt the best perfume there is. Unfortunately I haven't bought it yet (D:), but every time I go to Ulta or Sephora I spray myself with it about 10-15 times (I am not even kidding).

What?! Another lip product? You know it! This is more of a backpack necessity then a September Favorite. This is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable in Honey. It is so pretty and lasts forever!
This is another backpack necessity. Not necessarily this scent, but the Bath and Body Works hand sanitizers are amazing. Confession/tip time: if you want to smell good in the middle of class, pull out your favorite sanitizer. These create an aroma of glorious smells. That sentence sounded way too professional!

Finally, as I always do, here's my food favorite. Saltwater Taffy. As you can obviously see, I just keep it in a giant jar. In my room. For me too eat anytime I want. Oh yeah!

So that's my September Faves for you all! Hope you liked it! Comment below the tags/tutorials/reviews/anything you want to see! And don't forget to subscribe♥

Get Ready!

I know. I JUST said I would post more often. Ya, well. I was in L.A. all week!!! Yeah buddy!(:
Anyways, that means for you guys that in the next week I will have a Brandy Melville Haul (I ♥ that place!), a general L.A. haul, and three or four totally trendy posts. The faster you subscribe, the faster the giveaway will come! So lezzgo!(:

Totally Trendy!

Hey guyyss! I'm going to start a new post series called totally trendy. Anytime I see something that stands out as a popular trend or could become a fashion statement, I'll post it! At the end of each week, I'll make a post with the most popular trend determined by your votes! How to vote? Just comment on the ones you like! Today's trend is definitely the "nerdy chic" glasses. Prescription or not, I just love them!

These are so cute with curly hair, then geeky chic with a high straight pony! I never wanted glasses more before now! Do you guys agree??

Confessions of a Beauty Blogger Tag

Hey guys! So this is a new tag I have been so excited to do! So here's how it works:

Answer the 10 questions listed below.
Come up with 5 confessions of your own.
Tag up to 10 other bloggers (be sure to leave a comment on their blog so they know to do it!).
And most of all, HAVE FUN! Here we go!

1. What's more important: washing your hair or your face?
Hair! My face doesn't break out too easily but my hair gets really greasy.
2. How often do you clean your makeup brushes?
Less often than I should....
3. If you could keep only one high end makeup product, what would it be?
Urban Decay Primer Potion! This was my first "high end makeup item" I got when I was 10 from my mom.
4. Mascara or lip color? Choose ONE!
uummm....um..um..um....ahh! They are both so amazing! Probably lip color! Eye liner can be used to give the illusion of long lashes but without lipstick, my makeup is bland.
5. What brand is the majority of your makeup?
E.l.f. Don't judge! For a buck, this stuff is insane!
6. You just won a contest and will receive a $500 gift card to Forever 21 or Sephora. Which would you accept?
F21 any day! I have *enough* makeup (I always want more) but you can never have enough clothes! Anyways, who needs $500 worth of makeup?
7. Who's your favorite beauty guru/beauty blogger? Why?
Right now, Macbarbie07 or Stilababe09. They are both so sweet and outgoing and I just love them!(:
8. Eyebrows or Eyelashes? Choose ONE!
Eyebrows. Eyeliner on your waterline can give the look of eyelashes. I need my brows!
9. Best drugstore for makeup?
Walgreens. CVS is WWAAYY overpriced!!
10. Are you a natural or exotic makeup girl?
Natural.

Confession Time!
1. I hardly ever take my makeup off. Yup. Sad. But I don't break out (I have no idea why) so I never even think about it!
2. If you read my other tag, you would already know this. I am way too influenced by what my beauty gurus say! If they love a product, then I must also! Right...?!
3. I never really "change up my look." I wear the same makeup and hairdo almost everyday of summer, then a different look for winter. And that's that.
4. I only wear makeup to school. On the weekends, I'll do it for fun but I don't make a special effort to put it on.
5. I have a hard time deciding favorites! One day I'll love my Revlon Lip Butter and the next will be my Just Bitten Lip Stain!

Now, I tag these fellow bloggers!
Fashions On Top
Gumboot Glam
Fashion & a cup of Tea
Timeless Look
Flair By Brandi
Beautybaby44
Meghanrosette

I hope you guys enjoyed this tag!! Even if I didn't tag you,  do this tag and let me know you did it down in the comments! Thanks so much!
